Did you know that an average cup of nonfat yogurt contains about a third of the 1,000 mg of calcium a day that doctors recommend? Remember: Calcium has been shown to do everything from strengthening bones and teeth to lowering blood pressure. The bacteria found in live-culture yogurts, like Activia, also help lessen belly bloat by speeding digestion and regulating the bowels, says Cynthia Krause, M.D., an ob-gyn in New York City.
I am glad that I am giving my baby yogurt because this helps her release waste in her belly.Babies are known to be constipated when starting eating.I notice that that after giving her some yogurt, she would poop right away that pleases me so much because I know she feels bad when not being able to defecate.
